Police IG Douglas Kanja moves Bungei, spokesperson in latest changes in NPS ranks

Kwale Police Commander Ali Nuno has been promoted to be the Coast regional police commander.
Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja has replaced Dr Resila Onyango with former Kiambu Police Commander Michael Nyaga Muchiri, making him the new police spokesperson, in the latest major changes at the National Police Service.
Onyango now moves to the Diplomatic Police Unit as its commander.

At the same time, Nairobi Regional Police Commander Adamson Bungei has been moved to Vigilance House where he will serve as the Director of Operations. He will be replaced by Coast Regional Police Commander George Sedah.
Bungei takes over from William Yiampoy who was transferred to the position last year.
Kwale Police Commander Ali Nuno has been promoted to be the Coast regional police commander.
Also affected by the changes are Dr Mwangi Wanderi, the former head of the National Forensics Laboratory, who has been named the Director of Human Capital at Vigilance House. He will be replaced by Rosemary Kuraru.
Serious Crimes Unit head Michael Sang will now serve as the head of the DCI, Eastern Region, as Daniel Korir moves to command the Kenya Airports Police Unit (KAPU).
